Single Board Computing

SBC Products include:

  • PC/104 I/O Module: The PM I/0 module series enables you to turn your single board computer (SBC) into a PC-based data acquisition and control system. Data acquisition and control systems generally perform one or more I/O function such as analog input, analog output, digital input, digital output, counter/timer,and industrial field bus communication;
  • Industrial commmunication cards: IEI's multiport serial communication cards can enhance the serial communication functions of your system. A variety of interfaces are provided in the IEI multiport serial communication card, such as PCI, PCI-104, or the PC/104 interface, for easy integration into your existing system.   • Wireless module: The IEI networking wireless Mini-PCI cards are fully compliant with IEEE's security and 802.11b/g or 802.11 a/b/g standards. With data rates between wireless devices of up to 54Mbps, it can deliver the bandwidth necessary for real-time streaming for many applications. Supports Windows, Linux and CE Operating Systems;
  • TPM module: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) solution for data protection and reliable authentication via TPM that stores key, passwords and digital certificates;
  • RFID module: Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is one member in the family of Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technologies and is a fast and reliable means of identifying just about any material object. Primarily, the two main components involved in a Radio Frequency Identification system are the Transponder (tags that are attached to the object) and the Interrogator (RFID reader). Communication between the RFID reader and tags occurs wirelessly and generally does not require a line of sight between the devices. An RFID transponder, almost a next-generation barcode, is a miniscule microchip that is attached to an antenna. They come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and forms and can be read through most materials with the exception of conductive materials like water and metal, but with modifications and positioning even these can be overcome. An RFID reader typically contains a module (transmitter and receiver), a control unit and a coupling element (antenna). The reader has three main functions: energizing, demodulating and decoding. In addition, readers can be fitted with an additional interface that converts the radio waves returned from the RFID tag into a form that can then be passed on to another system, like a computer or any programmable logic controller. Anti-Collision algorithms permit the simultaneous reading of large numbers of tagged objects, while ensuring that each tag is read only once..

Video Wall Controller

The IEI video wall controller tiles the video image onto an array of much smaller (and cheaper) LCD panels, providing a cost-effective alternative to high-priced large-screen video wall applications. By choosing a cost-effective dual-link DVI graphic card and connecting with a PC via just 1 Dual-Link DVI cable, IEI's video wall box delivers high-resolution multi-screen images easily and quickly, perfect for surveillance, traffic monitoring, advertising and remote conferencing. 

All the video wall controllers support different configurations of the video output signals. The video controllers can be connected to LCD or DLP panels, video wall cubes, projectors or any monitor that accepts a DVI input signal.
