Brushless Motors from MCG
Motion Control Group (MCG) offers four complimentary series of brushless servo motors - the I Series, IB Series, AB Series, and MA Series (see below for full information on each). I Series Brushless Motors.
I Series Motors are designed for a wide range of commercial and light-industrial OEM applications such as office automation, medical and pharmaceutical, automated assembly, textile machines, woodworking and material handling equipment. I Series motors offer the best balance of performance and value. The I Series is a new upgrade to the proven IB Line.
These servo motors provide smooth operation throughout a full speed range. They deliver smooth and superior low speed performance and maximum power ratings due to low thermal resistance for high speed performance. These motors are well-suited for speed and position control.
Standard configurations include high-resolution incremental comtrack encoders, optional fail-safe brake and gearboxes.

- 3 frame sizes (NEMA 23, NEMA 34 and NEMA 56);
- Continuous torques ranging from 0.11 Nm to 6.57 Nm (1-58 Lb-in);
- IP54 construction with connectorized cabling;
- Mating power cables.
IB Series Brushless Motors.
IB Series Motors are designed for a wide range of commercial and light-industrial OEM applications such as office automation, medical and pharmaceutical, automated assembly, textile machines and material handling equipment. IB Series motors offer an excellent balance of performance and value with years of proven service.
These servo motors provide smooth operation throughout a full-speed range. They deliver smooth and superior low speed performance and maximum power ratings due to thermal resistance for high speed performance. These motors are well-suited for speed and position control. Standard configurations include high-resolution incremental encoders, optional fail-safe brake and gearboxes.
Features:
- 4 frame sizes (NEMA 17, NEMA 23, NEMA 34 and NEMA 56);
- Continuous torques ranging from 0.07 Nm to 6.10 Nm (0.63-54.0 Lb-in);
- IP54 construction (requires encoder cover).
AB Series Brushless Motors.
AB Series Motors are designed for demanding perfomance and difficult environmental applications. High performance magnetics and low inertia designs provide the ultimate in power density and acceleration capabilities. The AB Series, with its rugged construction, MS connectors and IP65 sealing, offers resistance to dust and low-pressure water jets. A built-in thermostat for over-temperature protection makes the AB Series a better candidate for harsher environments for applications such as machine tooling, water jet cutting, transfer lines, metal forming, spray down, EDM and packaging machines.

- 3 frame size (NEMA 23, NEMA 34 and NEMA 56);
- Continuous torque ranging from 0.42 Nm to 12.88 Nm (3.75-114 Lb-in);
- IP65 construction and rugged enclosures with MS connectors;
- Mating power cables.
MA Series Brushless Motors - Integrated Brushless Motor and Drive.
The MA Series integrated motor and variable speed drive package simplifies the installation and use of a brushless motor. Interconnection cabling, set-up, noise and compatibility issues are all but eliminated with this approach. The package provides smooth, quiet and efficient operation over a wide range of speeds. It is suitable for commercia and light industrial applications such as pumps, conveyors, industrial centrifuge, blowers, fans and fluid metering.
Features:
- Ratings from 1/5HP to 1HP (1750 and 3450 speed ranges);
- 115 VAC units available from stock (optional 230 VAC and DC versions also available);
- Speed Command via potentiometer, 0-5 Vdc command or factory set;
- Direction Control via on-board jumper or external command;
- External INHIBIT (/ENABLE) input;
- Speed Monitor output (square wave output);
- FAULT protected with reset and monitor;
- External control device.
The MA34000 is available in different lengths with the electronics optimized for the specific motor's operating parameters. Customization is available for OEM solutions. |
